NBC wanted to create a new method for transforming humans into creatures for a new television series and we were asked to do a test. They loved the method we came up with and awarded the series. 


The creature transforms required a near invisible method of transformation that wasn't obvious, and appeared to begin within the body vs a magical force. Each transform begins with subtle bulging beneath the skin and evolves into a full shift from human to creature and back again, with no obvious beginning and end, creating a seamless morph.


Over 6 seasons, our team created and produced over 1000 complex creature+VFX shots for Grimm in more than 75 episodes.
